As an editor for Guideposts magazine and its affiliate publications, Tafone works to gather, write and edit stories that comfort and inspire their readers. It’s a platform where authors share their personal stories about life, faith and the inexplicable experiences that have shaped them. She began as a fact-checker with the publication, then moved up to an editorial assistant and, eventually, rising to the ranks of editor. Her job is to find compelling stories, pitch them, then see them through our editorial process.
While they have been making the shift to more digital content in recent years, Guideposts is still, first and foremost, a print magazine. “There’s nothing like holding that finished product in your hands, leafing through the pages and seeing how all the artwork, photos and words (that) have come together never gets old. It’s magic. “
