Kathleen Webber is an assistant professor of Journalism and Professional Writing. She teaches Magazine Writing, Advanced Magazine Writing, Writing for Interactive Multimedia, Press History, and Multimedia Storytelling. She received a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame and an M.A. in Journalism from New York University. She has spent more than 20 years as a magazine writer and editor in New York and Philadelphia for such publications as W, Women’s Wear Daily, Self, and Philadelphia Style, which she helped launch in 1999. Her bylines have appeared in publications like Women’s Health, Martha Stewart Living, InStyle, New Jersey Life, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
She serves as adviser for TCNJ’s branch of HerCampus, a national online magazine for college women and She’s The First, a non-profit club. Her research focuses on ethical and sustainable fashion in the domestic and global economy and the reshoring of manufacturing in the industry.
